Great New Years Stay
The location was great. We wanted a view of Lotte Tower for New Years, and the view didn't disappoint. Perfect view of the towers. The neighborhood was nice to explore with a lot of restaurants. The apartment was equidistant from Jamsil Station and Seokchon station, so you different choices of lines. The KAL Airport bus had a stop just a 10 minute walk from the apartment. Our host was easy to get in contact with and showed us how to then on gas for the stove and start the washing machine.
Everything was good, but the only small things that could be improved were the bathroom amenities. We were able to make do, but we had little body wash and ran out pretty early on, and the towels were small. We were also missing instructions for the recycling and trash, but the host explained it to us later.

Not for 5 people - but just fine for 2.
I really appreciated the host. She was kind and answered my questions quickly. Her kind and understanding responses made up for all of my complaints. I am also new to the area, so it is likely that I had unreasonable expectations. This is an ideal place if you want to wake up to a beautiful view and experience what it would be like if you were actually living there and not visiting as this is an apartment.
The room was advertised as accommodating 2-5 people. I booked the space for 5 people - myself, my husband, and three teenage boys. I was disappointed to discover that the space could barely accommodate 3 people. Unlike the photographs that were given, there were no beds - only thin mats on the floor for 3 side by side in the loft, and an extremely lumpy sunken in sofa bed that the sheet kept coming off because it felt like plastic. No room to walk around once you open the sofa bed. The sofa bed was slightly bigger than a twin size, much smaller than a full size - and supposed to be for two people. My husband and I are close to age 50 and could not handle sleeping on the ground and could not fit on the small sofa bed, so we had to check into a hotel that night at 1am. My three teenage sons were happy to have the loft on their own and it was just fine for them. So overall, it was a good enough experience. However, I would suggest the owner not advertise the place for 5 people, or clarify that it will be uncomfortable for 5 but okay with the owner. I would also suggest replacing the sofa bed to at least a full size if it is going to be for 2 people. Finally, there were no full size towels, only 5 hand towels - again unlike what the pictures showed. Sigh, I'm thankful that the hotel down the street had one more room left because there is no way 5 of us could have enjoyed staying there in that little space!
